Honestly, I've been counting down for months, but I suppose it's really only been this week that I've noticed how few days there are left until I leave. A mere two weeks! Preparing has been hectic, as there is a lot to prepare for at this time of year! Christmas, New Years, a wedding, and then finally, my departure!
For those of you who don't know what I am preparing for:
In August of this year, I signed up for a YWAM DTS (Youth With A Mission: Disciple Training School) program. I am going to Wollongong, Australia where I will be learning about God and how to build relationships for the first three months, followed by an outreach (destination unknown) that will also last three months.
The past few months have been filled with a busy work schedule, trying to sneak time in with friends and family, and lots and lots of planning! I'm still waiting to see how God will provide the last half of the funds that I need and it's been a huge journey on trusting Him to provide for me.
My excitement has been endless, but there have also been many moments of anxiety and fear that have settled in as well. This week, especially, has been difficult with that. I love traveling and new things, but unfamiliar situations are a large cause of anxiety and I would appreciate prayers as I adjust to new environments and faces. Prayers against homesickness and fear of vulnerability would also be highly appreciated. While many of you ask what you can do for me while I'm away, I would have to say the main thing is prayer, as that means the most to me and I believe it will always have promising results.
Thank you all so much for your support and for coming alongside me as I follow God's calling in my life. Blessings and love!
